For this Fashion Friday post I am taking a closer look at the Spring/Summer 2011 collection from designer Holly Fulton. Holly is a graduate of The Royal College of Art with a MA in Fashion Womenswear and her use of surface decoration is an important component of her work. Holly endeavours to push the boundaries of fashion with her approach to surface design and draws inspiration from Art Deco, Bauhaus styles and Cubism. Her Spring/Summer 2011 collection features a large print and pattern component – mainly bold geometric patterns and graphics mixed with simple silhouettes and luxury materials and trims including python and pony-skin. What a wonderfully eclectic mix of prints, patterns and embellishments. Items from this collection are available to purchase from the Browns website – I had better start saving my pennies!
