As New York Fashion Week draws to a close I have decided to take a look at the Fall 2011 collection presented by Suno New York. In this past week not a lot of the designers have embraced prints and patterns for Fall 2011 but Suno was one of the collections that caught my eye because of their wonderful use of prints and patterns. Suno was formed in 2008 by Max Osterweis after a decade of collecting textiles from Kenya . The collections for Suno are designed in New York and the majority of each collection (about 70%) is produced in Kenya using local tailors. The Fall 2011 collection was inspired by wallpaper prints and geometric motifs with a sense of elegance. The collection also embraces a sophisticated earthy palette with bright colours and a wonderful mix of prints. You can view the full collection online at style.com.
